Date: Tuesday, September 29 th Conferences are by appointment only, from 3:30pm to 6:30pm During these times of uncertainty, we've decided to turn our Parent/Teacher Conferences into a virtual experience! We hope you're as excited as we are to have this chance to connect and discuss your student's progress or answer questions you may have. To schedule a virtual meeting with one or more of your student’s White Day teachers, please visit https://ptcfast.com/schools/Waterville_Senior_High_School You will be asked to select the teacher, enter your student's name, the name of the person(s) attending the meet, and your child's aos92.org email address (example: 22lsmith@aos92.org) . Follow all prompts until you receive your confirmation email with your choice of dates/times. Once scheduled, you can view or change your appointment and receive appointment reminders automatically. Learn to drive at school WSHS and Beal Driving Academy have recently entered into a state-approved partnership to provide Drivers Education to Waterville Senior High School Student's at NO COST to families! WSHS students, there are openings RIGHT NOW in a White Block 2 class if you have an Open Block. But, if that does not fit into your schedule, there will be other opportunities throughout the year. You must be at least 15 to enroll. If you are a WSHS student, please contact our guidance department to register or pre-register for future classes. Beal Driving Academy will be offering additional evening classes throughout the calendar year inside our school building. Special Tributes: Class of 2020 - Spring Senior Athletes - NHS Stole Recipients Spring Renaissance Assembly - 2020 Awards Night Presentations - Class Night Video WSHS Science Olympiad On Saturday, March 30th 2019, the Waterville Senior High School Science Olympiad team came in 2nd at the state championship at USM – Gorham . We had six 1st place finishes, four 2nd place finishes, and four 3rd place finishes. Five days later, we were invited to attend the National Tournament. This will be the 19th time in 24 years that Waterville will be representing Maine. A quarter century ago, who would have predicted a small high school in central Maine could be such a consistent powerhouse of Science Olympians? But, we are; the record stands. Waterville Senior High School’s students and dedicated science staff devoted themselves to an almost unbelievable level of performance year after year. Likewise, they never shirk from the challenge to represent Maine in national competition. Faculty Spotlight Sue Barre is the band director in Waterville grades 5-12. She is a graduate of UMass Amherst where she earned a Bachelor's of Music Education and Horn Performance. Sue holds a Master's in Educational Leadership from USM Gorham. This is her fourteenth year at WSHS where she works with the Pep Band, Jazz Band and the Fall Musical and serves as Chair of the Visual and Performing Arts Department. Sue started her teaching career in Turner Maine and has taught in Freeport Maine. Sue was elected to the Board of the National Association for Music Education last February and will be representing states from Maine to D.C. in that role over the next six years.
